Mediators Make Significant Progress in Gaza Ceasefire Agreement, Prisoner Exchange on Track

The success of mediators’ efforts to overcome obstacles and complete the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, as well as ensure its compliance, has been confirmed by two officials.
A senior official told Cairo News that the efforts have advanced the agreement, which includes a prisoner exchange.
A Palestinian official close to the negotiations stated that all parties have expressed their commitment to implementing the agreement.
For his part, Hamas spokesman Abdel Latif al-Qanoua noted that there are “positive signs” regarding Israel’s commitment to the ceasefire.
Al-Qanoua also announced that the Palestinian resistance is ready to resume the prisoner exchange next Saturday, provided that Israel respects the agreement. However, he denounced that Israel has violated the agreement on several occasions by obstructing the return of displaced persons and the entry of humanitarian aid.
Despite these concerns, Al-Qanoua emphasized that the Palestinian resistance does not seek the collapse of the ceasefire and remains committed to its full implementation.
In a statement, Hamas described the talks in Cairo as “positive” and assured that Egyptian and Qatari mediators are working to remove the remaining obstacles.
